Reflection on Capturing Light
My photographs are diverse in content, but all capture light in some way. The first one was taken in the school auditorium in the morning. The light was coming from the ceiling both above and in front of the stage. The light is reflecting off the tuba and on to the player's face in cool patterns. I think the mood is whimsical because of the relaxed setting and the cool lines that the light on the tuba makes. My second photo was taken in the afternoon at Mystic Aquarium. The light is coming from above the penguin tank. It's shining down and highlighting the interesting shaped rocks under the water. It also makes shadows under the water. My last photo is of a tuft of grass at Pierce's Beach. I went there mid morning and the light is coming from the sun above the grass. It's shining through the blades in a mystical way, intensifying the interest angle that this photo was taken at. All of these photos were edited on Photoshop to bring out the contrast between light and dark.
